13.Something random.

These are playing cards that are shaped like ice cream cones. They even have a handy dandy plastic case in the same random shape. I have no memory of ever receiving them. I really don’t know when I got them or where they came from. I think they’re fairly random.

32.Something that brings back a good memory.

I got this when I was just a wee little Tom. There’s a story attached to it about me being a bratty kid. I’ll tell it some other time if anyone actually cares to hear it.

I guess it doesn’t really bring back any specific good memories, except maybe a general happy nostalgic feeling. I hope this is a sufficient response to the request.

40.Something weird that you own.

As if I only have one weird thing in my possession… I have this whole glass case in my room that’s filled with random (and pretty much useless) stuff that I’ve collected over the years. The whole case would be fun to photograph, but it wouldn’t come out very clear with glare and all, and the photo wouldn’t really do the items any justice. Instead of the whole case, here is a photo of 3 weird vases that I keep in there.

The first one is kinda cool. It’s a vase wrapped in leather and it has a neat looking world map on it. My mother gave it to me, and she had it for a very long time. I’m really not sure where it came from aside from that. The middle one is just neat looking in my opinion. Found it at a rummage sale a while back. The one on the end is my favorite. I think it was a gift to my mother back when I was a kid. She always hated this thing, she thought it was the ugliest vase in existence. She tried many times to throw it away, but I always found her doing it, and brought it back in the house. Eventually I just claimed it as my own. This picture really doesn’t do it justice. It’s mostly grey, and splattered with red and black, but when you look really close, you can see it’s one of those designs that look like it was broken into a million pieces, and glued back together. I love it and I don’t know why. =]

Anyway, here you go. Pardon the rant about vases. I hope these answers meet your satisfaction.

Here’s a few of the better photos from my photo session at work yesterday! I’m liking how these turned out. I’m really not too fond of pictures of myself, but these are okay. The female you see here is the awesome person Dawnycakesssss. She was kind enough to accompany me for the photos. She’s a really neat person, and if someone out there happens to actually follow/enjoy my blog, you should go and follow/enjoy her blog too. =]

I’m getting professional photos taken at work tomorrow! =D

For those who don’t know this, I work as a portrait photographer. This year (in place of a christmas bonus), my work is giving all of the employees a photo CD for a full session worth of photos. Most of my co-workers are bringing in their families, but seeing as mine have no interest at all, I’m going to get some professional business photos done. I’m not entirely certain as to what I’ll use them for, but it will be really neat to have some nice photos of myself for my websites, potential business cards, and whatnot. 

I’m also having a friend of mine help me cut/style my hair for the occasion. 

I’ll be sure to post some of them here after I get them taken, if anyone is interested that is.

I had complications after the initial surgery, so I ended up going back 3 times during December and January to have them fix things up (mostly because I was bleeding so much, which is particularly troubling in your throat). So while I was there, some nice guy from NYU was in the hospital giving out toys and photos to the children to help them feel better about the fact that they were stuck in the hospital. He was such a nice guy. I still have the teddy bear he gave me. =]

Random Photoshop Eye Stuff

My friend took a picture of my eye. I got bored, and had to edit out a strange pimple anyway, so I just went ahead and did some stupid/boring photoshop crap. I kinda like the last one, but it doesn’t really matter for anything.

Just felt like sharing my boredom with whomever actually reads this.

Forsaken Muse

Oh how I envy those whom are gifted with the ability 

of self expression through the pen,

Able to fill whole pages with such feeling.

But the skill forever eludes me, for I am haunted so

by these emotions trapped forever inside my soul.

What is it that one must do to seek out the muse

that has forever guided the artists of the ages…

Oh how I wish that I could allow my soul 

to scream of its solitude,

or to let my tears to paint the

beauty of the heavens.

Oh what I would give to read my heart aloud

for the whole world to hear,

but alas, my medium eludes me…

Oh heavenly muse, grant me my wish

For what is an artist without a brush,

Just a few of the random photos I took today. Just the few that included me seeing as I feel strange uploading  photos of my friends to the internet without their permission. Oh well. Also, I really dislike that one photo, but I uploaded it anyway. Oh well.
